Leonardo Vomend de Anda

I am Mexican born and raised, grew up mainly in Mexico City.

A story I like to tell, is about how when I was little, I always said my dream was to become an inventor, and now that I am not little anymore I realize that product design is as close I can get.

Throughout my whole life I have been a creative, taking every elective and after school class from stained glass making to oil painting, and coming from a family in the film industry I also had a passion for film and photography.

After finishing high school, I pursued a diploma in personal communications as well as a chefs degree, all while I worked at a retail job which I hated. It was in this period of my life that I realised I needed to chase my dreams, so I moved to Florence to study industrial design, neither the Italian life nor the Industrial design aspect felt right, so I looked for something better, more me, and i found both Product design, and a great school in a big and modern city that would better inspire me to keep going.

I have a passion for photography, I take what I like to call city portraits, and capture the energy of a city, town place in a photograph. I also have a passion for coffee; drinking it, making it, sharing it, learning about it, and the entire culture that surrounds it.
